Fans have been openly salivating over little tidbits about changes to the game since 2015, without anything remotely resembling a release date making the news in that time.
That all changes today. A Gamescom 2019 announcement revealed that Bannerlord is coming to Early Access relatively soon. However, players will still have to wait a few months to play, as it won’t be available until March of 2020.
Cheers to this cheeky YouTuber, who said what we were all thinking while watching the announcement trailer:
Unfortunately, there’s still no movement on an officially official full launch date, although a Steam page now exists and shows off a bit of what fans can expect from the beta launch next year.
Here’s what we know will be in the early access so far:
Siege gameplay: Including constructing, positioning, and firing artillery weaponry at enemy locations Diplomacy: With new bartering, marriage, and influence systems to seal alliances or antagonize enemies Sandbox Economy: This fluid economy based on supply, demand, and local ware conditions is due to be tested extensively in early access Crafting: For making and naming your own personal killing machine with a variety of attributes Modding: Development tools will be made available to the Steam community for constructing your own Bannerlord experience
