Below, we’ll go over where to find Celestial Wyverian Prints, as well as how to use the Steamworks to get a print, and how to farm fuel for the Steamworks.
Where to Find Celestial Wyverian Prints
The only place to get Celestial Wyverian Prints is in the Steamworks of Seliana. As long as you have fuel, the Steamworks provides a number of random rewards ranging in rarity from grey to red. The prints you want are in the red zone.
To play the Steamworks, all you have to do is press three of your controller’s face buttons in a random order (the order resets after you press all three). In most cases, you’ll be rewarded with grey items for failed attempts and yellow items for successful attempts.
Getting a red item, like the print, requires two things. First, you need the button prompts to glow red, and then you have to get the sequence right.
Do that, and you’ll get a chance — and only a chance — at the print. Get it wrong, and you get a grey item.
Usually, you have multiple red sequence attempts per go, and they seem to have about a 10% chance to appear. The more fuel you have, either provided by you (Stored Fuel) or generated over time (Natural Fuel), the more attempts you will have. Each turn costs 10 fuel total, coming first from your Natural Fuel, then dipping into your Stored Fuel.
How to Farm Fuel for the Steamworks
Your two fuel types come from different sources. Your Natural Fuel generates over time no matter what you’re doing. Quests — assigned or optional — expeditions, Guiding Lands, and Arena fights all ensure time passes and fuel builds up.
To provide fuel to the Steamworks yourself, you can give it any ore you mine from a Mining Outcrop. However, most ores, even the rare ones, only provide between 1-3 fuel.
Coal is what you’re looking for, which is a rare and ultra-rare pull from Outcrops. Dragonvein Coal, for instance, gives a whopping 500 fuel, while Coal shards can give 50 or so depending on the type.
Your best bet to farm coal is to mine every Outcrop you see. If your hunter stops, looks at the Outcrop, then takes a huge swing, you’ve hit paydirt. All you have to do then is take the coal to the Steamworks and take your chances at a Celestial Wyverian Print for sweet mats.
